On May 12, 2011 someone blew a stop sign, hitting our Mom's car, leaving her unresponsive on site. Rushed to the hospital, doctors immediately drilled two holes into her head; one for a therapeutic drip, the other to relieve pressure. Doctors didn't think she would make it through the night, day, weekend .. but she did. Three days later, our Mom underwent a craneoplasty which left her in a comma. Slowly she came out of it. After 5 weeks in the hospital, 4 weeks at a sub acute rehab, 2 weeks back in the hospital and 7 weeks at Kessler, she is home. This is our story. And her journey.
